Meet the Onyx Orbit – a ceiling-hung electric fire that brings a striking, sculptural presence to contemporary interiors. Suspended from above, its open-fronted design offers a wide, panoramic view of the flames and lifelike oak logs, with or without the heat switched on.

Ideal for open-plan living and rooms with vaulted ceilings, the Orbit can be rotated up to 340° once installed, so the flames can be enjoyed from almost anywhere in the room. Onyx Orbit 150RW Electric Fire

The Onyx Orbit measures 900mm in diameter and 537mm in height, and hangs from an aluminium decorative flue pipe that also conceals the power cable. Flue pipes are available in 0.8m and 1.6m lengths to suit different ceiling heights, with mounting options for flat ceilings or vaulted and angled ceilings up to 60°. As a heavy appliance, it must be fixed to a load-bearing joist or beam.

The Chromalight® system offers three flame colours and a range of fuel bed lighting options. The oak log-effect is complemented by downlighting, while mood lighting around the interior of the fire comes in 13 colours, plus a spectrum mode that cycles through them all. Flames, fuel bed lighting and heat can all be controlled independently.

The Orbit provides up to 1.5kW of thermostatic heat, and the heating can be switched off so the visual effects can be enjoyed all year. The thermostatic eco handset gives full control, including daily and weekly timers, while Adaptive Start Control and other energy-saving features manage heat output efficiently.
