The Onyx Avanti 65 is a landscape, hole-in-the-wall gas fire designed for contemporary interiors. Its clean, rectangular exterior keeps attention on the flames, while a hand-painted Split Oak log-effect and glowing ember bed give the look of a traditional wood fire without the upkeep.

Behind the logs, the EchoFlame™ Black Glass Lining reflects the flames to create a layered, deeper picture, viewed through premium non-reflective glass. The Avanti 65 is available as a conventional flue or balanced flue model and can be finished with an Edge+ or Expression frame in Matt Black or Gloss Black, or installed frameless. Onyx Avanti 65 Gas Fire

The Avanti 65 measures 829mm wide by 569mm high, with a depth of 331mm for the conventional flue version and 333mm for the balanced flue. It fits into a prepared chamber and can be finished with pre-cut plasterboard. The Edge+ frame measures 787 x 419mm and the Expression frame 985 x 616mm; both fix directly to the fire. The conventional flue model has top and rear flue exits and needs no extra ventilation in most circumstances. The balanced flue model has a top flue exit and is compatible with the Avanti Gas chimney renovation kit. Installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Visually, the fire combines wrap-around, rolling flames with a glowing ember-effect bed, positioned around the Split Oak logs to mirror a real wood fire. The black glass lining multiplies the flame picture, and the non-reflective glass keeps the view clear from across the room.

The conventional flue model delivers 4.2 to 4.5kW at up to 78.4% efficiency, and the balanced flue model 4.7kW at up to 89.1%. Both run on natural gas; LPG is available for the conventional flue version only. A fully sequential thermostatic remote control is included, handling ignition, flame height, heat output and shutdown, and holding the room at a set temperature.

Framing options

The Avanti 65 can be installed frameless or finished with one of two frames. Both come in Matt Black or Gloss Black, fix directly to the fire and neatly cover the edges of the installation opening.

Frameless (Edge)

The fire sits flush in the wall with the plaster finished right up to its edge for a clean look, or add a custom frame.

Edge+ Frame

A slim, minimalist border measuring 787 x 419mm that adds a crisp outline around the fire.

Expression Frame

A bolder, wider frame measuring 985 x 616mm that makes more of a statement and fully covers the base and flanges of the fire.
