The Onyx Avanti 85 is the larger of the two Avanti gas fires, giving a broad, panoramic flame picture for living spaces that call for a bigger focal point. Set into the wall in landscape format, it pairs a minimal black exterior with a realistic display of flickering flames over glowing embers.

The flames rise through a hand-painted Split Oak log-effect and are reflected in the EchoFlame™ Black Glass Lining, which adds depth and makes the fire look fuller from every angle. Choose a conventional flue or balanced flue model, run on natural gas or LPG, and finish it with an Edge+ or Expression frame, or none at all. Contact us to find out more.

At 1030mm wide and 569mm high, the Avanti 85 is around 200mm wider than the Avanti 65. Depth is 331mm for the conventional flue version and 333mm for the balanced flue. The fire is installed into a prepared chamber and finished with pre-cut plasterboard, or with one of two frames: the Edge+ (987 x 419mm) or the Expression (1185 x 616mm). The conventional flue model offers top or rear flue exit and, in most homes, needs no additional ventilation. The balanced flue model exits from the top and can also be fitted with the chimney renovation kit. A Gas Safe registered engineer must carry out the installation.

The burner creates a bed of glowing embers with flames that roll around and between the logs, much as they would in a wood fire. Premium non-reflective glass keeps reflections to a minimum, so the flames and black glass lining stay clearly visible.

The conventional flue model produces 4.9 to 5.4kW at up to 77.9% efficiency, while the balanced flue model reaches 5.7 to 6.1kW at up to 91.9%. Both are available for natural gas and LPG. Every Avanti 85 comes with a fully sequential thermostatic remote, which lights the fire, adjusts flame height and heat, turns it off, and maintains your chosen room temperature.

Framing options 

The Avanti 65 can be installed frameless or finished with one of two frames. Both come in Matt Black or Gloss Black, fix directly to the fire and neatly cover the edges of the installation opening.

Frameless (Edge)

The fire sits flush in the wall with the plaster finished right up to its edge for a clean look, or add a custom frame.

Edge+ Frame

A slim, minimalist border measuring 787 x 419mm that adds a crisp outline around the fire.

Expression Frame

A bolder, wider frame measuring 985 x 616mm that makes more of a statement and fully covers the base and flanges of the fire.
